“PEG + CAT + HOLIDAYS” – one-hour special premieres December 17

PEG + CAT will present a one-hour Holiday Special PEG + CAT + HOLIDAYS on December 17th on PBS Kids. The episodes celebrate both Hanukkah and Christmas traditions while teaching math concepts in its own inventive way that has already garnered the series three emmy awards. The special includes:

The Hanukkah Problem” - When Albert Einstein has Peg and Cat over on Hanukkah, he shows them how to make a 2D piece of paper into a 3D dreidel. Later, they need to use this process to bring peace to Al's home and save his Hanukkah.

 “The Christmas Problem” - When Santa Claus is in trouble, Peg and Cat have to solve their biggest problem ever: how to make and wrap presents for all the children of the world, and then deliver them using 100 sleighs.

“The Penguin Problem” - Peg and Cat coach a team of skiing penguins, who would have a shot at the Olympic gold medal if only they knew "over," "under," and "in between.”

Still in its first season, The Fred Rogers Company's animated series ‘Peg + Cat’ has won three Emmy Awards, including “Outstanding Pre-School Children’s Animated Program, ” “Outstanding Performer in an Animated Program” and “Outstanding Individual Achievement in Production Design.”

Co-created and executive produced by Jennifer Oxley (Little Bill, The Wonder Pets!) and Billy Aronson (Rent, Postcards from Buster), PEG + CAT is produced by The Fred Rogers Company for PBS KIDS. Kevin Morrison of The Fred Rogers Company and Vince Commisso of production partner 9 Story Entertainment also serve as executive producers. 9 Story distributes the series internationally.
