Let’s Explore! Encouraging Curiosity in Young Children includes:

Facilitator’s Guide - The training guide is housed in a durable, 3-ring binder. It includes clear and easy-to-follow instructions for leading the workshop, and is designed to be used by inexperienced as well as experienced trainers.

CD-ROM with PowerPoint and PDF files –The workshop materials are available on CD-ROM, including all handout materials as well as video segments.

Handout Masters – Reproducible handout masters include:
  • Take-home materials with activities to help child care providers and parents create curiosity-friendly environments;

  • Ideas about how to nurture and incorporate curiosity into daily routines;
Video Components -  The video segments include a clip from MISTER ROGERS NEIGHBORHOOD as well as documentary segments of children and early childhood educators, taped specifically for use in this workshop. Video footage that’s sure to easily evoke lots of discussion.

 


Background Materials – Background materials include a short biography of Fred Rogers, information about the developmental approach to his work and philosophy and articles written by Fred Rogers that trainers can use to enhance the workshop.

Supplemental Materials - Many of our trainings have benefited by including various supplemental materials that extend what participants have learned in the workshops.
