"NEIGHBOR ABER" - played by Chuck Aber
As Associate Mayor of Westwood he assists Mayor Maggie and is a kind neighbor to everyone in Make-Believe. As a good friend in the real Neighborhood, he shares his many interests with Mister Rogers and his television friends. He is also the voice for H.J. Elephant III. |

"LADY ABERLIN" - played by Betty Aberlin
Lady Aberlin, niece of King Friday XIII, is a caring friend to the puppet characters and neighbors in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. She is sensitive to the needs and feelings of her friends and knows how helpful it is to talk about things when the puppet characters are upset or concerned. She also enjoys celebrating with them when they're happy and proud. |

MARILYN BARNETT
When Marilyn Barnett first came to Mister Rogers' real Neighborhood, she was a physical education teacher. Although she's now a principal, she continues to visit Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, teaching Mister Rogers and viewers simple exercises. |

"CHEF BROCKETT" - played by Don Brockett
Chef Brockett owns "Brockett's Bakery" in Mister Rogers' real Neighborhood, where he sells baked goods and enjoys cooking things in the kitchen in the backroom of his bakery. He likes to have quiet in the kitchen so he can concentrate on his recipes. He has a physical disability that causes him to limp. Now and then he talks about how exercising helps him or shares other things about having a disability. He also brings his baked goods and his friendship to the neighbors in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. |

"TONY CHIROLDES" - played by Tony Chiroldes
An enthusiastic lover of books and costumes, Tony Chiroldes runs Tony's Costume, Book, and Toy Shop. He likes to teach Mister Rogers some Spanish words when he visits the shop. He also plays Hula Mouse in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. |

"OFFICER CLEMMONS" - played by Francois Clemmons
Officer Clemmons portrays a friendly policeman in Mister Rogers' Neighborhood and in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. He has a beautiful tenor singing voice and often sings on the program, particularly in the Neighborhood operas. In later years of the series, his personal career took a different turn, and he became the leader of the Harlem Spiritual Ensemble. In the week about growing, he returns to the Neighborhood with his Ensemble. |

JOHN COSTA
John Costa, Rogers' friend and collaborator for more than 25 years, served as music director of MISTER ROGERS' NEIGHBORHOOD. Costa provided the elegant, upbeat and inventive arrangements that helped to give Rogers' songs a life of their own beyond the television set. |

"KEITH DAVID" - played by Keith David
Keith David lives in Southwood in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. He is a builder and good friend of Betty Okonak Templeton-Jones. |

"MAYOR MAGGIE" - played by Maggie Stewart
In Make-Believe, she's the Mayor of the neighboring village of Westwood. Her role was created in the seventies in order to present a female in a position of authority. She brings her beautiful voice and her skills as interpreter for the deaf to the songs that she often sings and "signs" in Make-Believe and on her visits to Mister Rogers' real Neighborhood. |

"MR. McFEELY" - played by David Newell
Mr. McFeely runs the "Speedy Delivery Messenger Service" in Mister Rogers' real Neighborhood. He is a grandfatherly figure who is sometimes in a hurry. At other times he stays to enjoy and often narrateS the video that he's brought showing how people make different things. His "Speedy Delivery" services often takes him to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, as well. |

"MRS. McFEELY" - played by Betsy Nadas
Mrs. McFeely is the wife of Mr. McFeely who has lots of interests. She especially loves animals and invites Mister Rogers to visit whenever there are animals, like lambs or ducks or puppies, in their yard. |

Michael Moricz, a pianist and composer, carries on the legacy of John Costa as the series' musical director. |

"JOE NEGRI" / "HANDYMAN NEGRI" -played by Joe Negri
As an accomplished guitarist, Joe Negri is the owner of "Negri's Music Shop" in Mister Rogers' real Neighborhood. In the rehearsal room next to his music shop, viewers are introduced to a wide variety of musicians. In Make-Believe, he is the royal handyman, available to help with repairs around the kingdom. As a friend for the puppet characters and other neighbors, he's always there to lend a caring ear, a helping hand, and sometimes a song on his guitar. |

"SERGIO PINTO & JOSE CISNEROS" -played by Sergio Pinto & Jose Cisneros
Sergio and Jose are assistants in Brockett's bakery, who converse in Spanish with Mister Rogers. They introduce him to everyday Spanish phrases and help him with his questions and purchases in the bakery. |

"REARDON" -played by John Reardon
Metropolitan Opera singer, John Reardon comes to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe every now and again to help make an opera. A college classmate of Fred Rogers, Reardon is well-known for his work on opera stages and as a teacher of young vocalists. |

"AUDREY ROTH" / "MISS PAULIFICATE" - played by Audrey Roth
In Make-Believe Miss Paulificate is the kingdom's telephone operator. She also has a cleaning service and is often seen with her duster. |

MISTER ROGERS - Fred M. Rogers
Mister Rogers is a trustworthy, loving adult who values and understands the significance of childhood. He is not an actor, but rather a communicator who cares about children and is interested in the things that matter in childhood. In his half-hour television "visit," he considers himself a "television friend" to the children who are watching. |

"BOB TROW" - played by Bob Trow
In the "real" Neighborhood, Mr. Trow is a creative craftsman who constructed the miniature models of Make-Believe and other surprises in his workshop. His warm relationship with Mister Rogers highlights giving, receiving and sharing -- parts of a rich friendship. In Make-Believe, Bob Trow plays two additional roles: Bob Dog, a loveable and rather timid dog who likes to howl, and Robert Troll, a gibberish-speaking troll with an affectionate sense of humor. His unique "trolltalk," like double-talk, is similar to children's play with nonsense syllables as they experiment with language and sounds. |

Betty Okonak Templeton-Jones is a former schoolmate of Lady Elaine Fairchilde who now and then comes to visit in Make-Believe from nearby Southwood. She's a non-stop talker and always has something to say. Because she understands Lady Elaine so well, she is sometimes called on to help Lady Elaine out of a jam. Bob Dog is a lovable, good-hearted, and rather timid dog who likes to howl. He sometimes gets confused when things get complicated, but his friends always help him out. |

Daniel Tiger lives in the clock. He is gentle and child-like, a favorite of many. He is very shy, but with tender affection and support from his good friends in Make-Believe, he finds that he is indeed brave and didn't know it. Lady Elaine is the curator of the Museum-Go-Round, a revolving building containing collections of everything from A - Z. This mischief-making impish woman is always getting into one thing or another, but that's often because she worries that she's not very lovable and needs attention. As an outspoken, opinionated character, she is generally the only one in Make-Believe who stands up to the King whenever he has made an unreasonable demand. Prince Tuesday is the son of King Friday and Queen Sara. He is curious, interested in his schoolwork, and very boyish. Purple Panda is an inhabitant of Planet Purple where everything is purple and everything is the same. He can magically travel "the purple way" just by thinking himself there! |

Queen Sara is benevolent and diplomatic, working on international task forces like the "Food for the World" committee. X the Owl lives in a knot hole in the Tree. He loves to learn about all sorts of things and is enrolled in Owl Correspondence School. Ben Franklin is his hero, and he has a printing press. He has a happy-go-lucky personality, and he likes to think everything is "nifty-galifty." His best friend is his "next-door" neighbor Henrietta Pussycat.
